Overpriced. They charged an additional $85 for their service fee.
I recently had a problem with PennDOT and needed the assistance of a local intermediary to ensure that my driving privileges remained current.
I never received my registration in the mail so I went in to have them process the form, since it requires a notary if it's within 90 days (at that point it would be free). Well, they charge $14 for processing it, which literally requires them to input 2 sections of check boxes into the computer. Okay, I thought, "that sucks but I need a registration card when I get my inspection." The girl put my info in and said that even though my registration was good for 11 months, I had paid 2 months prior and it was outside of the 90 day window, so now the price was going to be $20. If that were the case, I wouldn't need a notary so I could just mail the form in with a $6 check. Since I was requesting a new copy bc the old one was lost in the mail but it was outside the 90 day window, I asked her how to change my responses. She said "I can't tell you how to fill out the form." I asked another question about mailing it in, but she kept repeating "I can't tell you how to fill out the form." Their business is driven solely by $ grabbing, not by concern for their customers - which I won't be ever again.
Tom, in the Lansdale office handled all the initial paperwork very professionally, and Ashley showed exemplary customer service with several follow u calls to insure me that PennDOT had received the paperwork in a timely fashion. Excellent experience !
The staff was very well informed, patient, and extremely helpful. Was a new resident to PA and had just bought a car out of state in MD. When I tried to title and register the car, found out the dealer had sent incorrect titling paperwork. The staff explained exactly what needed to be fixed and even told me I could have the corrected paperwork overnighted directly to the agency where they could sign for it. Once the papers arrived, I popped over to the agency and it only took five minutes to get titled, registered, fees/taxes paid, and out the door. Highly recommend.
